Pipette homemade, simple pipette method
As the most commonly used experimental instrument in the laboratory, the pipette is also the most demanding experimental instrument in the laboratory, and everyone may feel it is commonplace. Have you ever thought about making a pipette product yourself?
The pipettes currently bought on the market are expensive, and the quality of imports is relatively good, but generally it is several hundred. Although domestically produced, it is cheap, as long as dozens, but the quality is not good. In our laboratory for oil testing, pipettes are often corroded by the use of pipettes, and domestic pipettes typically take less than a few days. Now I use my glass syringe to make a simple pipette, which works well.
Now introduce the method briefly:
1. Using a 5 ml glass syringe,
2. Select a section of plexiglass tube saw of suitable diameter to be 15 cm long.
3. One end of the plexiglass tube is ground into a pointed shape, and the other end is placed on a glass syringe.
4. Place the nozzle matched with the pipette on the tip end of the plexiglass tube.
In this way, a simple pipette is made!
The pipette is suitable for dropping liquid with inaccurate volume, which is corrosion-resistant compared to general pipettes, and is inexpensive (the cost is about 4). The price of a conventional domestic pipette can be made into several simple pipettes.
