Use a scrap steel plate to fabricate a square container. About 300 millimeters up from the bottom of the box, square iron pieces are welded into each corner to provide structural support. A steel plate, 3 to 5 millimeters thick, is then drilled with a hole of similar diameter and placed on top of these corner supports. At the base of the box, a drain valve is installed to allow for easy removal of water or oil.
When in use, first fill the bottom of the tank with 250 mm of water, followed by the addition of diesel fuel. Since diesel is less dense than water, it will naturally float on top, forming a clear separation between the two liquids. This non-mixing property ensures that the diesel remains clean and can be reused multiple times.
For cleaning purposes, place the parts to be cleaned on the steel sieve plate. As the parts are washed, dirt and debris will fall through the holes in the sieve and settle at the bottom of the tank. The diesel on the upper layer stays relatively free of contaminants, making it easy to reuse and reducing overall fuel consumption.
After repeated uses, the dirty water at the bottom can be drained out and replaced with fresh water. Alternatively, both the water and diesel can be completely removed, the tank rinsed, and new water added. The used diesel can still be retained and reused, making this system both efficient and environmentally friendly. This design not only saves fuel but also simplifies maintenance and operation.
