"I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it is always June?"
~L.M. Montgomery
We're quickly discovering what it feels like to live in perpetual summer—at least for now, in our new home. By next year, I imagine we'll adjust better to the changing seasons, but coming from Michigan, the subtle shifts in temperature were such a hallmark of summer back home. Transitioning into fall has been quite the adjustment, and even though we'll likely be more accustomed to the weather next year, I know I'll need to put effort into making each season feel distinct. The vibrant colors of autumn and the cozy charm of Christmas decorations will definitely help bring some magic to the colder months. And yes, I'm already daydreaming about holiday decor. I wear my festive spirit proudly, but there's one thing I can admit: I might have missed out on celebrating fall fully because I got sidetracked. Thankfully, Houston delivered the ultimate fall festival this weekend. It was a huge win compared to last weekend's unsuccessful search. Turns out, I wasn't too late to embrace the season after all. While we're soaking up the sun during the day, we're fully immersed in all things fall by nightfall—cinnamon-spiced candles burning bright, pumpkins sitting pretty in the entryway, some seasonal crafts underway, and plans for a spooky surprise to greet our neighbors soon.
How do you celebrate fall?
As always, thank you for stopping by! Whether you're here for the quotes, the stories, or simply to enjoy the cozy vibes, I hope you leave feeling inspired. Until next week, keep those quotes flowing, and let me know if you've found any hidden fall gems in your neck of the woods!
