Due to the complex composition of raw materials for compound (mixed) fertilizers, the following problems must be taken into account when selecting compound (mixed) fertilizers.
(1) Be specific to the soil. At present, the soil fertility in China is relatively complex, and the soil nutrient content varies greatly. When using compound (mixed) fertilizers, it is necessary to understand the soil conditions. Based on the fertility of the soil, select fertilizers with appropriate nutrient content and nutrient ratio.
(2) Target crops. Potassium plays a special role in improving the quality of crops, and the value of economic crops is high. In the case that there are not many potassium fertilizers for agriculture in China, potassium-containing compound fertilizers should be given priority to cash crops.
(3) Select suitable compound fertilizers for different soils and different crops. Acidic soil and dry field should use nitrophosphate, and neutral and calcareous soils can use chlorophosphonium system. The urea-phosphorus system is suitable for all kinds of soil and various crops. Crops not suitable for the application of chlorine should be compound fertilizers containing potassium sulfate, tobacco should be compound fertilizers made of phosphorus nitrate and potassium sulfate, and food crops can be made of compound fertilizers containing potassium chloride.
(4) Apply with unit fertilizer. Because the nutrients of compound fertilizers are relatively fixed and the unit fertilizers are properly combined, the ratios of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium can be adjusted to suit the requirements of different soils and different crops.
