Last year, the Dongshan Port in Fujian exported over 335 million U.S. dollars worth of aquatic products

According to preliminary statistics, the value of aquatic products imported from Fujian's Dongshan Port through trade in general exceeded US$335 million in 2010, and trade volume with Taiwan’s small ones exceeded US$15 million, both increasing by more than 120% year-on-year.

Dongshan County is a large county of aquatic products in Fujian Province. There are a large number and variety of aquatic products in Taiwan. To ensure that aquatic products can be delivered to Taiwan as quickly as possible, Dongshan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and other port authorities have established “green channels”, adopted a flexible supervision and inspection model, implemented a series of preferential policies and measures, and accelerated the customs clearance process. Last year, Dongshan Port passed more than 1,500 batches of aquatic products, about 38,000 tons of trade aquatic products, and the trade volume exceeded 335 million US dollars through general trade, showing a substantial growth. At the same time, more than 400 tons of live fish in Taiwan’s small trade volume from Dongshan Port to the mainland market were valued at more than US$1 million, an increase of more than 1.4 times year-on-year; Taiwan's groceries’ trade volume with Taiwan’s small amount was approximately US$14 million. The increase was about 1.5 times year-on-year.
