It’s been a week since Baby Blue’s birthday party, and I finally have some time to share the fun with you! Due to the heavy rain caused by Hurricane Ike, we had to move everything indoors—even though we were on the other side of the state. But that didn’t stop the party from being a huge success! Baby Blue and all her little friends had an amazing time.
Decorations: We went for a modern puppy theme. There were balloons with paw prints, cute signs, and even my sister-in-law dressed up as a puppy to greet the kids and hand out their very own puppy ears and noses. It was so adorable!
Food: We served mini BBQ hotdogs, chips in dog bowls, paw-shaped sugar cookies, and a candy buffet filled with treats that looked like dog food—like Whoppers, Peanut Butter Whoppers, M&Ms that matched the color scheme, Kix cereal, jellied "hot dogs," and Kooky Chews. Plus, chocolate milk in dog bone cups made it extra special.
The cake was a cupcake cake shaped like a dog! It was the star of the show.
Activities: We brought in four adorable eight-week-old Labrador puppies, and the kids absolutely loved them. They also decorated their own “dog tags†using beads and markers. We had a dog bone piñata filled with treats and toys, and everyone signed Baby Blue’s birthday puppy card.
The Doggie Bag: Each guest received a goody bag filled with candy, a small toy (like a noisemaker or yoyo), a puppy notebook and pencil, a Kooky Chew, and even a dog tattoo. It was a hit!
