Daffodil Sand

[Setting up of sand bed] Sand-holding narcissus can be carried out in plastic sheds or glass greenhouses. Choose a well-illuminated, well-ventilated, flat terrain. Use bricks to build a sandy land that is 1 meter wide and 25 centimeters high. The length depends on the circumstances. Then put the clean river sand in the sand pool, the thickness is slightly lower than the pool height, and use wet water to spray wet and level the sand. If narcissus is grown in the sand in the family, pots can be planted in pots with 25 cm of deep sand.
[Narcissus bulb treatment] First remove the dry scales outside the bulbs and remove the dried roots and dirt. In the abdomen and back of the bulb, two vertical blades are drawn to loosen the scales and facilitate the extraction of the calyx. Take care not to injure the flower buds and then plant them.
[planting and management] The washed narcissus bulbs are graded and planted in a sand bed at a certain spacing. The planting depth is suitable for burying the bulbs, and the plants are irrigated with water. Afterwards, clean the sand bed once a day. After the calyx begins to grow, reduce the amount of watering, spray water once every 3 to 4 days, and keep the sand bed moist. The temperature is maintained at 10-15 °C. When the flower buds are in bloom, the whole plant is pulled out of the sand bed. When you pull, hold the lower part of the bulb of the narcissus with your hand. Use a firmer force. Do not injure the roots and leaves. After pulling out, rinse the root sand with water, and then plant them in different types of narcissus pots according to different plant shapes and sizes, and fix them with stones to enter the room to watch or supply the market.
Sand culture daffodils need to pay attention to the following questions:
1) This method is only applicable to ordinary daffodils and is not suitable for engraving daffodils.
2) The planting density should not be too large. If the density is too high, the ventilation is poor, and removing the plants from the sand bed can easily break the leaves and damage the viewing.
3) Pay attention to maintaining adequate light, lower temperatures, and good ventilation. Insufficient light or high temperature (above 30°C) makes the plants prone to length. Poor ventilation is prone to leaf spot disease.
4) Under the same temperature conditions, the sandy daffodil blossomed 10 to 15 days later than the water cultured daffodil.
