Early drinking
Chicks should be transferred to the brooding house within 24 hours of hatching so that they can drink and eat as soon as possible. After drinking water for the first time with 0.01% potassium permanganate for half an hour, add 3% to 5% of glucose to the water or follow the instructions to add electrolytic cubes to enhance the chick's constitution. In the first 10 days, warm water should be given. After 10 days, clean tap water or deep well water can be consumed. Once you start drinking, you can't stop supplying water to prevent the chicks from drinking for a long time. Drinking fountains are cleaned at any time and disinfected once a day.
Eat in time
2 to 3 hours after the initial drinking, when 1/3 to 1/2 of the chicks have foraging performance, they can be fed and eaten. In the first few days, it is necessary to provide less ground for feeding, generally feeding once every 2 to 3 hours, feeding day and night. Start food with compound feed or scalded millet. During the entire brooding period, in addition to feeding compound feed, proper feeding of vegetables, grains, etc., has a significant role in promoting the survival rate and development of the chicks. Special attention should be paid to the supplementation of vitamins and trace elements to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies. After 10 days of age, appropriate amount of fine sand should be fed to promote digestion.
Ventilation is one of the most important components in a successful greenhouse.
If there is no proper ventilation, greenhouses and their growing plants can become prone to problems. The main purposes of ventilation are to regulate the temperature and humidity to the optimal level, and to ensure movement of air and thus prevent build-up of plant pathogens (such as Botrytis cinerea) that prefer still air conditions. Ventilation also ensures a supply of fresh air for photosynthesis and plant respiration, and may enable important pollinators to access the greenhouse crop.
