Festo (China) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Festo AG & Co. KG established in mainland China in 1993 . In June 2000 , the company built a production phase in the Jinqiao Export Processing Zone in Pudong, Shanghai. In 2001 , it established the Asia Pacific Technology Center. In the end of 2003 , the second phase was completed, mainly for production, engineering, R&D and logistics. Expansion. In 2002 , Festo AG & Co. KG purchased nearly 60,000 square meters of land in the southern part of the Jinqiao Export Processing Zone for the construction of a new large-scale production base. The new plant was completed in 2006 .
