The monitoring issued by the Ministry of Commerce on the 15th showed that last week (August 6th to 12th) the country’s edible agricultural products saw a drop in the prices of meat and fruits from major categories, and prices of grain, edible oil, white striped chicken, eggs, aquatic products, and vegetables rise.

As the national policies for stabilizing live pig production and ensuring market supply have been introduced in succession, the purchase prices of live pigs in some regions have fallen, and wholesale prices have dropped. Last week's fresh pork prices fell 1.5% from the previous week. Considering the long growth cycle of live pigs and the high cost of breeding, pork prices will still be operating at a high level. In addition, the price of fresh beef rose by 0.6%, and the price of fresh lamb was basically the same as last week.
During the same period, the price of white broilers continued to rise, up 0.3% from the previous week. The price of eggs rose by 1.2% and the gains slowed.
