Rabbit control locust recipe

Thianthone, also known by trade names such as Nissoline, Vicpalong, Egg Ban, and Nicole Long, is a widely used acaricide in agricultural practices. It is commonly available in 5% emulsifiable concentrate (EC) and 5% wettable powder (WP) formulations. Over ten companies are registered with the Ministry of Agriculture's Institute of Drug Control, including major players like Jiangsu Kesheng Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Gengben Pesticide Chemical Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Huzhou Rongsheng Pesticide Chemical Co., Ltd. As a thiazolidine-based acaricide, Thianthone exhibits low toxicity to warm-blooded animals, with no irritating effects on rabbit eyes or skin. It has minimal impact on aquatic organisms and demonstrates high efficacy against eggs, larvae, and nymphs of herbivorous mites. However, it shows lower activity against adult fleas. Despite this, it remains effective in controlling eggs laid by females that have been exposed to chemical treatments. Its insecticidal action is relatively slow, but its residual effect lasts for up to 50–60 days. Since it does not penetrate plant tissues systemically, it can still effectively infiltrate leaves, making it less affected by rainfall. Additionally, it is non-toxic to predatory mites and beneficial insects, and safe for honey bees at normal application rates, which makes it a preferred choice in integrated pest management strategies. Although Thianthone has limited direct killing effect on larvae, it exerts a toxic effect on quail eggs and has an effective control period of approximately 50 days. For managing pests like leafhoppers (commonly referred to as red spider mites) on vegetables such as eggplants, peppers, and beans, it is recommended to apply 5% EC or wettable powder diluted 1500–2000 times. It can be safely mixed with Bordeaux mixture or lime sulfur. In cases where larger infestations are present, it may be combined with other acaricides that target larvae more effectively. When applied at concentrations of 30–50 mg/L, Thianthone is effective in controlling various species of mites on crops such as cotton, fruits, vegetables, and tea, including cotton leafhoppers, scorpion mites, orange mites, turnip mites, and red spider mites. However, it is less effective on rice cultivars. Therefore, in areas with high populations of rice mites, it is advisable to mix it with other miticides when treating fast-growing vegetables, cotton, or ornamental plants. Thianthone is also compatible with alkaline substances and can be safely combined with pesticides like dichlorvos, Bordeaux mixture, and lime sulfur.
