The "Five Musts" and "Five Don'ts" for Tire Use

1. The "five requirements" for tire use (1) should be inflated in accordance with the specified air pressure. If the tire pressure is too high, the contact area with the ground decreases, the tread wears easily, the cushioning force of the tire weakens, the vibration increases, and when a large bump is encountered, it may even cause a puncture, and the adhesion to the ground is reduced. If the air pressure is too low, the tire is easily deformed, the rolling resistance is increased, the tire cord is easily delaminated or broken, and the tire is also prone to heat and aging. (2) To change positions regularly. Regularly change the tires according to the regulations to prevent tires from being worn out. The spare tire must also participate in transposition. (3) Avoid contact with oils, alkalis, acids, etc. Usually, flush the dirt and objects on the tires frequently to keep the tires clean. (4) Strengthen maintenance. Tire maintenance should be carried out with the car. After the locomotive has been working for a period of time, check the tire pressure and temperature. Every time before leaving the vehicle, you must check the appearance of the rim, dry tire pressure, valve condition, and necessary tire repair tools. (5) To install correctly. When loading the inner tube, be careful not to bring sand, granular hard objects, and oil impurities into the tire. It is best to apply a layer of light wax or a layer of talcum powder on the inner wall of the tire tube and the surface of the inner tube to reduce friction. Prevent the inner tube from being scratched. When the inner tube is inflated, inflate and tap the tread with the hammer so that the bead and the rim are in close contact with each other. In addition, the inner tire valve must be aligned with the valve aperture on the steel ring to prevent tearing of the inner tube. 2. Do not use the "five not" (1) do not arbitrarily increase the load quality. When the external load exceeds the maximum load capacity of the tire, the service life of the tire will be shortened. (2) Do not start too hard, shift and brake. Excessive force will not only increase the deformation of the carcass, but will also cause severe friction between the tread and the ground, especially when the road is poor. (3) Do not cool with cold water. When the tires are overheated during driving, do not pour cold water on the tires to cool down, otherwise it is easy to damage the tires. The correct approach is to park the locomotive in the shade to cool it down naturally. (4) Do not drive on roads with sharp spikes or sharp edges, otherwise it is easy to damage the tires and shorten the service life of the tires. (5) Do not expose the tires to prolonged sun and rain. Sun and rain will accelerate the deterioration of the tires. Therefore, when parking for a long time, the vehicle should be parked in a dry and cool garage, and the frame should be erected with wooden stakes or brackets to allow the tires to leave the ground.
