After the miniature species were planted, 10 pieces of lotus root were harvested. This technology has now been used in factory production of miniature species and promoted the use of 260 acres in Wuhan. According to reports, according to the traditional method, 200 kg per mu were used. The cloned species, only 50 kilograms per mu, is easy to transport and non-toxic. In 2000, Wuhan Institute of Vegetable Science took the lead in cultivating cicadas in the world. Since then, lotus clone technology has been continuously developed. From this year on, this technology will be promoted nationwide.
