Zucchini Fertilizer Tips

Zucchini cultivation benefits greatly from the use of organic fertilizers. It's important to ensure a steady supply of phosphorus and potassium, especially during the fruiting stage. Here’s a detailed guide on how to properly fertilize zucchini:

1. Base Fertilizer: Apply 2000-3000 kg of chicken manure per acre, along with 20 kg of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, 10 kg of potassium sulfate, and 15 kg of urea. Mix these into the soil to a depth of about 15 cm for optimal nutrient absorption.

2. Seedling Stage Fertilizer: After planting and when seedlings have settled, apply 10-15 kg of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate to support early growth.

3. Top Dressing: Begin applying fertilizer when the roots start to swell. Use 10-15 kg of diammonium phosphate, along with 0.1-0.2 kg of goldfish algae microbial fertilizer, and water it in thoroughly. After harvesting the first set of fruits, when the second set begins to grow, repeat the top dressing using the same method. You can increase the fertilizer amount slightly if needed.

In addition, it's recommended to spray potassium dihydrogen phosphate directly onto the roots to ensure sufficient potassium supply, which is crucial for fruit development and overall plant health. Regular monitoring of plant growth and soil conditions will help adjust the fertilization plan as needed for the best yield.
