The interstitial muscles are loose and there are multiple layers of yellow gel-like infiltrate in the connective tissue. The main feature is the grayish white muscle fiber bundles with normal intermuscular inclusions and necrosis. Muscle cross-section with white bundle necrosis. The cross-section shows myocardial necrosis with gray and white sizes. Coronary steatosis, transparent gel-like appearance. The liver is swollen, hard and brittle, with a rough surface, pale in color, with diffuse punctate haemorrhage, and a large area of fatty degeneration, showing a yellow, red, and gray pattern. The small intestine contains faint, liquid-like malodorous yellowish or grayish stools, occasionally reddish mucus, mixed with air bubbles, small intestine mucous flushes, thick mucus, or bleeding spots. Intestinal lymph nodes swollen, submucosal and muscular edema, mesenteric lymph nodes. During the prevention and treatment, the sick deer were injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly with 2% ml of sodium selenite. At the same time, vitamin 25 mg was injected every 2 days for a total of 35 injections. The use of this medicine to prevent the injection of newborn deer can also receive satisfactory results. Fundamentally prevent the need to purchase feeds from selenium-deficient areas and add selenium-containing additives to the feed. China Agricultural Network Editor
