Sunfish farming

Sunfish are native to North America, including the United States and Canada, and have also been introduced to various other regions around the world. These small fish typically range from 50 to 100 grams in weight, with larger specimens reaching up to 2,000 grams. Their appearance resembles that of Nile tilapia, but they are most easily recognized by their distinctive feature: a long, trailing edge on the dorsal fin, which looks like a soft, black, ear-shaped membrane—commonly called the "eardrum." The coloration of sunfish is generally pale orange or light orange on the front, fading to a light blue on the back. The breeding season for sunfish runs from March to October. A female that reaches 15 cm in length can lay between 12,000 and 65,000 eggs per spawning, and she may spawn multiple times throughout the season. Sunfish are highly adaptable to temperature changes and can continue feeding even in water as cold as 12°C. Their diet primarily consists of animal-based foods, but under controlled conditions, specially formulated pellets can fully meet their nutritional needs. The protein content of the feed should be around 32–36%. Sunfish thrive in both large and small water bodies, and intensive farming methods are particularly effective. In ponds about 1.5 meters deep, it's common to stock around 1,200 fry (3–4 cm) per acre. The daily feeding amount should be approximately 10% of the fish’s body weight when they are small, increasing to around 5% as they grow to about 100 grams. With proper disease prevention, sunfish grow quickly and remain easy to manage. In recent years, U.S. aquaculture experts have developed a technique called “sex reversal,” which converts female fry into males before they mature. These male fish are typically ready for harvest after about 8 months, reaching an average weight of 500 grams each. Sunfish are valued both as a food source and for their ornamental appeal. Currently, commercial fish weighing 100 grams or more are highly sought after, with strong demand and good market prices. Breeding sunfish has become a promising opportunity for those looking to generate income through aquaculture.

Calcium Chloride

Calcium Chloride Description :

Calcium chloride is an inorganic salt, which exists as solid or liquid. Solid calcium chloride is a white, crystal substance in the form of flake, granule, pellet or powder. With different crystallized water contents, it can be dihydrate or anhydrous. Liquid calcium chloride is a colorless, clear solution. As calcium chloride has such properties as quick dissolving, exothermic ability, attracting moisture from the air and surroundings, dissolving at very low temperature

Calcium Chloride Application :

1. They are widely used in highway, expressway, parking lot and port to melting snow and ice.

2. Used as dryer, as anti-fog, and anti-dust agent also fireproof agent

3. Protective agent and refining agent for petroleum/oil field.

4. Pigment assistance agent of textile. It is a kind of raw material.

5. It acts as flocculation in water treatment.

6. Be used in waste paper processing as removing printing ink agent.

7. As anti-freezing agent.

8. As dehydration agent.

9. Food additive: as cryogen are used in ice cream, as stable agent/coagulant used in bean products, drink and beer.
