Technical points of multi-layered bed planting garlic in greenhouse in winter and spring

The cultivation of garlic seedlings in multi-storey bed in greenhouses is mostly used in winter and spring seasons. It can not only adjust and compensate for the supply of vegetables in the off-season, but also greatly improve the land utilization rate and make the garlic production obtain higher benefits.

Building a bed method

The bed is made of wood, straw, plastic film, iron wire and red brick. The greenhouse is low in the middle and front, and the front and rear parts are set up with 2 layers of beds, and the middle part is set up with 3 layers. Use a single brick to form a wall of 10 cm high, the wall spacing is 1.2 to 1.6 meters, and then use wooden poles to form a frame of 1 to 3 meters wide and unlimited length, the distance between the wooden poles is 20 to 30 cm. On the basis of the first layer, a bed of 80 to 90 cm wide is abducted with a wooden pole 80 to 100 cm from the first layer. A layer of plastic film is placed on each layer, and the film is covered with 5-6 cm thick sandy loam and the soil is photographed. During the process of erecting the bed, be sure to bury it tightly to prevent the bed from collapsing.

Cultivation and management methods

Choose garlic: use varieties with large flaps, high yield, short dormancy, emergence and fast growth.

Preparation before sowing: Soak the garlic for 30 hours with warm water at 30 °C ~ 50 °C to make the garlic swell. Then remove the drain and suffocate for about 12 hours, then dig the garlic stems. If the planting area is large and the amount of soaking is large, it can be planted one week in advance without digging the stem.

Garlic and soil: 15 kg of garlic cloves per 1 square meter, the tighter the garlic cloves and garlic cloves, the larger the gap is filled with smaller garlic cloves. After the garlic cloves are placed, cover the 3 cm thick cover with fine sand.

Moisture management: water the garlic seedlings with water at a temperature not lower than 15 °C, and pour the large water in the pre-growth period after cultivation, the medium water is poured in the middle of the seedling height of about 15 cm, and the small water is poured in the late growth period of 3 to 4 days before the harvest. The number of waterings depends on the dryness and humidity of the soil on the bed.

Temperature control: It is necessary to keep the membrane surface of the greenhouse clean and improve the light transmission to obtain more illumination time. The temperature requirements of the bed are before the seedlings, 24 ° C ~ 26 ° C during the day, 20 ° C ~ 22 ° C during the night; after the seedlings, 22 ° C ~ 24 ° C during the day, 18 ° C ~ 22 ° C at night; seedling height 15 cm or so, 16 ° C ~ 22 ° C during the day, 16 ° C ~ 18 ° C during the night; harvesting, 18 ° C during the day, 12 ° C during the night.

Harvesting at the right time: When the garlic seedlings grow to a height of about 35 cm, when the seedling leaves are slightly inclined, it is suitable for harvesting. After the first garlic seedlings are harvested, the same management method as above can be used to grow new garlic seeds after 20 days. When the new garlic shoots grow to about 30 cm, they can be harvested again. Such cycle management and harvesting can be continuously harvested 3 to 4 inches.

This method allows garlic to be produced in the off-season, and can be continuously harvested, fully utilizing the land, and improving the economic benefits for the garlic farmers.
