World Health Organization establishes clinical trial search portal ----------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------
The World Health Organization officially launched the clinical trial search portal on Friday (4th). Through this search portal, researchers, medical workers, patients, academic journal editors, journalists, and anyone else interested can search for clinical trials that are ongoing or completed around the world.
According to the WHO, before this, it is often difficult for doctors or patients to obtain detailed and complete clinical trial information about a therapy; many clinical studies have never been published, even the results of published clinical trials are often Incomplete information.
WHO noted that registering clinical trials is the only way to ensure that people have access to complete and accurate clinical trial information, and this practice is gaining widespread acceptance in the international healthcare industry.
However, there are currently a large number of clinical trials in the world, so that those who wish to obtain information feel at a loss, and whether the information is accurate or reliable is not known. It is in this context that WHO has begun work on building search portals.
According to WHO, the quality of information obtained from the organization's clinical trial search portal is guaranteed. The registry that provides information for the search portal is a member of the WHO Global Clinical Trial Registry Partnership Network. This registry network provides a platform for exchange and collaboration in clinical trial registry offices around the world.
As a condition of accession, each registry must ensure that registration is not performed prior to the start of clinical trials and that it provides 20 key details of the registered clinical trials as required by WHO and ensures the quality of the information provided.
Through this unified search portal, users can quickly and easily search for clinical trials in a research area and obtain reliable data from registries around the world. If you want more detailed information, users can click on the relevant link to access the specific registration information.
WHO has called on medical researchers to register their research through members of the organization's clinical trial registry cooperation network. (WHO)
